The bachelor´s thesis is focused on promotion of TONDACH Česká republika, Ltd. company on the fairs. It includes informations of different kinds of advertising on the fairs, possibilities and exhibits how efektively turn fairs into a profits. Also which forms are effective and which aren’t. Above all this the bachelor is focused on proposition of the optimal structure of advert on the fairs.
Woman's Image in Czech Advertisement

The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of Czech advertisements and its aim is to show the image of advertising texts about women and their roles in society. Not only the linguistic material, but also the pictorial components of these types of communication will be analyzed. In the theoretical part of the thesis, types and the style of advertising and the concept of stereotype in ethnolinguistic approaches will be introduced. The practical part of the thesis will be based on excerpts of advertisements in which a woman is the main actor or, on the other hand, the stereotypical perception of a woman in Czech society.
Media Portrayal of Older Adults in Czech Senior Magazines

This thesis deals with portrayal of elderly people in media. Thesis use a visual analysis of content to examine five Czech magazines for seniors: Doba seniorů, Grand Generace, Revue 50 plus, Spokojený domov and Vital Plus, year 2015. First part of the thesis explains theoretical concepts, which are related to this issue. It defines the concept of "oldness", the term "senior" and determines the limits of old age according to different authors. Next subchapter defines representation of reality in media and describes the difference between media reality and social reality. In the chapter Representation of old age in media we introduce the results of Czech and foreign studies, from which we have drawn not only in theory, but also in the preparation of our research plan. Fourth subchapter refers to stereotypes and myths about old age, ageing and seniors. Above that, the thesis also includes image analysis of photo content. Its main object are photographs with people over 50 years old. These images has are analyzed using several variables that we have created from Czech and foreign research. Transforming of Revolver Revue (1990-2000) and its Critical Analysis

The aim of this thesis named Transforming of the Revolver Revue (1990-2000) and its Critical Analysis is to describe the image and development of the cultural magazine Revolver Revue, including its supplement Kritická Příloha Revolver Revue during the first decade after the 1989 "Velvet revolution". Special attention is given to its literature reviews that largely determined the reception of of the magazine. Because the magazine was strongly influenced by its underground roots and the examined period of 1990s was full of remarkable socio- political changes the historical context, especially the developments of media and literature of that period, is discussed. To get an image of the magazine's role and its transformations as seen from the outside we describe how it was received by the contemporary press. The theoretical part focuses on issues of the conception of the literary criticism, which relates to the search for the role of criticism in the 1990s and it outlines the diversity of different perspectives, concepts and attitudes. The section dedicated to Kritická Příloha includes analysis of a few chosen reviews and aims to explore the form of criticism published in this magazine. Rural section of the Bohemia bewspapers up to 1850s

The bachelor thesis "Rural section of the Bohemia newspapers up to 1850s" analyses the thematic content and news frequency from the countryside and places that the German written newspapers Bohemia published during the introduced period. In the beginning the thesis describes the historical, cultural and political connection in the Czech countries, shows the bourgeoisie life and its customs and social changes. It introduces the media area of this period. It focuses closely on progress of the Bohemia newspapers, its content, interest and activity. It focuses on the rural section of Bohemia, which started to appear in a separate section from the year 1837. The quantitative analysis of the rural section describes the gradual frequency and the changes of the medial contents depending on the political and social situation.
Magazines for preschool children during the period 1990-2000

Title: Magazines for preschool children during the period 1990 - 2000 Author: Kateřina Veitová Supervisor: Mgr. Radim Wolák The thesis deals with analysis of market with magazines for preschool children between years 1990 and 2000. The first part describes the transformation of media environment and conditions for issuing periodicals. Also monitors all the titles that were issued during the period, and notes the impact that the publishing business conditions changes had on them. In the second part, the thesis focuses on the development of selected titles in terms of external and internal characters in the specified period and compares these titles with each other. For the purpose of the analysis were selected titles: Bobik, Medvídek Pú, Méďa Pusík, Mickey Mouse, Kačer Donald and Sluníčko, there were analyzed every two copies of each year in the period from 1990 to 2000 when the magazines were published. To achieve our goals, the qualitative research methods and study of relevant literature were used. Finnish media landscape - print media

Bachelor's thesis aims to describe the structure of contemporary print media in the Republic of Finland and the way they function. It focuses namely on the periodically issued print, i.e. newspapers and magazines. The introduction part contains a brief outline of historical background of the Finnish media system and thereby delineates the rise and development of print but also of other media in this country. Next the thesis describes the main characteristics of the said system relating it with economical, social and political bases. Third part of the text covers more specifically some of the present- day titles and their position within the Finnish print market. Internet and its influence on print media in Finland are dealt with in the final part of the work, which also in this context attempts to describe a possible future outlook of the Finnish press. The purpose of this thesis is to present a comprehensive summary of the Finnish print media and of their place within the Finnish media landscape.
Presentation of chosen tv series from period of normalization in magazines czechoslovak television and television

This thesis examines how two magazines from normalization era (Czechoslovak television and Television) wrote about three chosen TV Series (The Thirty Adventures of Major Zeman, Good Water and Gottwald) when they were launched on the screen. Not only noticing topical and genre range of the texts, thesis also judges degree of propaganda in unusual journalistic environment (state press writes about state television). Thesis notes viewers'opinions apart from official texts. They were also published on magazines. Last but not least, thesis compares media environment of those days with temporary one. It notes details from normalization that are not supposed to work today. Theoretical and historical view on Czechoslovak television's operation during normalization goes before concrete research. A lot of media literature is used. Thesis confronts opinions of censored press in normalization with more objective state. This is applied both on evaluations or describing of series and on writing about real historical events. Therefore, two series that describes historiy from communist point of view were chosen - The Thirty Adventures of Major Zeman and Gottwald.

This thesis concerns itself with the effects of media on socio-cultural regulatives. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first one describes the theoretical foundations related to mass media - their importance and power, their potential effects and how they can be analyzed. The work also deals specifically with printed media. The practical part is focused on the research. Two lifestyle magazines were selected, both of which are presenting values of the two main segments of the population (Elle for women and Maxim for men). The empirical part of the thesis thoroughly scrutinizes these two periodicals in terms of their content. This analysis led to the formation of hypotheses pertaining to customer behaviour and value orientation, most of which were verified thanks to the in-depth interviews that were conducted.
